Our large buoyant Niteglow Grubs can be used in a number of different ways, and have proved very effective for Carp, Tench and Bream. Carp anglers in particular have found the extra buoyancy they offer over our standard size maggots, a real advantage when using larger heavier gauge hooks.
One presentation that particularly stood out during field testing, was a slip-D rig, combining one large imitation maggot with several real ones to produce a lively ‘medusa’ effect.
If fishing over bottom debris or weed, a popped up or critically balanced hook bait can be achieved, by matching with an appropriate size hook. Also useful where small fish are a nuisance, constantly tearing real maggots of the hook. Our imitation maggots work best when used with real maggots either as loose feed or in PVA bags.
Resists the attention of nuisance species including crayfish.
Tests have proven that blue/green light is most visible to fish in low light conditions. Our Niteglow grubs contains high grade luminous additive giving a glow time of up to 8 hours when fully charged. We recommend that you use our U. V. torch ET43 sold separately, for charging within 15 seconds.
After the initial very bright glow, the grubs will continue to glow for several hours at a reduced level. We recommend recharging after 3-4 hours to maintain a good glow.
